Holiday properties are equipped with blankets/doonas and pillows and protectors, however please remember to bring your own personal linen including sheets, pillow cases, towels and tea towels. On the NSW/Qld state borders, Tweed Heads NSW and Rainbow Bay QLD are located 10 minutes from the Gold Coast airport, 35 minutes south of Surfers Paradise, and 45 minutes north of Byron Bay. Situated north of Point Danger, Rainbow Bay is a favourite with familes and holiday makers due to its sheltered beach. It is also gateway to Snapper Rocks where you can find the best point break barrels on a south-easterly swell. The famed right-hand sand bottom point break commonly referred to as the "Superbank" is home to the Annual Corona World Surf League Championship. One of the best vantage points to watch the surf is from the Rainbow Bay Surf Life Saving Club. A seat on the balcony rewards you with views all along the headland towards Burleigh and Surfers Paradise.The Oceanway Pathway hugs the beach from Snapper Rocks to Currumbin Beach, 9kms of pristine beachfront for all to enjoy. Walk over the hill to Duranbar (D-Bar as the locals call it) and you are back in NSW to enjoy the most spectacular views from Point Danger, the designated border between New South Wales and Queensland.
